Fine art black and white landscape and abstract gelatin silver prints by exhibiting photographer, Scott Edwards. These images were captured on the Oregon Coast, in the Pacific Northwest, the American West, the Industrial Midwest, rural Wisconsin, and along his walk through the Great Plains and Desert Southwest to the Grand Canyon in Arizona. Scott works exclusively in black and white gelatin silver printed from film negatives shot with large and medium format cameras. These fine art photographs are exhibited nationwide in art galleries and museums, and in virtual galleries worldwide.

Gelatin silver photography has been shown to be archival and many examples printed over 100 years ago still look fresh. Scott Edwards takes great pride in hands-on processing and the dramatic beauty achieved with unique combinations of film, paper, developers, toner and procedure. The very nature of the wet darkroom process lends a slightly different result to each print, even those from the same negative.

Many find black and white photography to be introspective and thought provoking. Viewing the world with a different palette helps us appreciate beauty in ways we might otherwise take for granted. Spend some quality time with gelatin silver at any fine art gallery and see for yourself.
